Windows Media DRM Error:
A problem has occurred in the Digital Rights Management component. Contact product support for this application.
I continually get this error message, and can not use Performer Store which I've already paid for as of yesterday.
I have done the following:
* Uninstalled and Reinstalled MC 15.0017
* Upgraded to a registered copy of MC 15.0017 (paid upgrade today)
* Uninstalled and Reinstalled MC 15.0017
* Upgraded version of IE to V8
* Upgraded Windows Media Player to V11
I did the last two items due to some readings on the internet. Not sure if they have anything to do with the problem, but figured it couldn't hurt. Actually after uprading the Microsoft Apps.... I was at least able to login to Performer Store, and the 30 sec. timeout for songs was removed. This was one step better than what I was getting before... but the end result was still the same. Erroring out with a DRM issue.
Please advise on a fix if possible.
If not, please instruct me on how to unsubscribe and get my credit card reimbursed.
Thanks
Paul

Microsoft's DRM thinks there's something missing or corrupt in your computer's DRM components.
Get the latest updates for your computer.
Try resetting the DRM following the procedure on this page (look under the WMP 11 section):
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/drm.mspx#q11_4 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/faq/drm.mspx#q11_4)
Then re-individualize the DRM system on your computer using the link on this page (use IE):
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1 (http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/Indivsite/en/indivit.asp?force=1)
Then try running MC 15 and see if you can stream music.
Let us know how this works for you. Thanks!

Then re-individualize the DRM system on your computer using the link on this page (use IE):
http://drmlicense.one.microsoft.com/...en/indivit.asp
The link above does not work for me. I tried a number of times.
The Page Cannot Be Found: is the error I get.
Please let me know if there is a different link, or another way of accomplishing this task.
Thanks for the help so far....

Sorry about the bad link. I fixed it above.

Thanks so much for your help ! I can now stream music. I can download as well. The first few days I was able to download music very fast... about an album a minute. As of today (Sunday April 11) the download speed has decreased to about 5 minutes per album. Is there anything I can do to get the speed back ? In any event, at least it's working and I appreciate your help !!!

Glad to hear it's working for you. The download speed will of course vary depending on server load. Sunday was probably a popular day for downloading.
