Title: MC 15.0.16 - Missing Files in Video view
Post by: Steve C on April 11, 2010, 03:41:21 am
I am having the following problem in MC15.0.16.

When I import, either auto or Specify a file, The file(s) shows in recently imported playlist but not in Video View.

The file can be played from the recently imported playlist, so there is no problem with the files.

I have tried deleting, and checking the import previously deleted option and re imported but to no avail.
I have checked the folder & file properties, but can not see any issues.

Some files are imported some are not, they are all the same type though. I`m tearing my hair out.

** I have found a work round, if you go to Drives and devices, navigate the the folder where the file is located, you can import from there, Very strange.......**

Any Ideas?

Sometimes the media type is not correctly determined. Display Media Type in Recently Imported. If the values are "Data," change them to "Video." They should then show up in your Video View.

If no filter can be found to read the file, MC will class the file as data.  Try changing DirectShow filters.  Consider installing CCCP.  See the Wiki for more information.
