Latest build of MC15 on a completely new Windows7 install.
I have both MC14 and MC15 installed and VOB playback works on MC14 but not on MC15. I have CCC installed. Options on both versions appear to be the same (I haven't changed them).
I get "DVD Playback error" and a suggestion to download an Intervideo product.
AVI, MKV files play just fine.

Thanks gappie.
As you were typing I continued to play around with the settings and discovered that if I changed the Renderer to EVR, it works now. I'm pretty sure I left all the other settings as-is but I'll have to check.
Is there an "optimum" set of option settings (given the use of CCC) for decoders & renderers when playing DVDs? Or is it a case of 'as long as it works', it's fine?

im sure there is an optimum setting and i guess it depends on the codecs, your hardware, and the files at hand. im just trying to survive in codec land, so as long as it works 8)

Same thing just happened to me. I did what gappie suggested, and now it works like a charm. Granted, I just spent well over 2 hours troubleshooting!

I looked and I don't have a video decoder called "MPC". Is this something I need to download? How? Where??

Those are part of CCCP (http://www.cccp-project.net/).

Got it. Thank you. Seems to fix the problem for me, too.
