Title: Library Server v14 - client v15 ?

I guess this is not possible.
My WHS runs library server of MC14.
Client (laptop), runs both MC14 and MC15. While client v14 connects as it usually did, MC15 client fails with "Media Center faild to laod the library 'ABCD' and will attempt to load the previously selected library".
Do I have to run library server of v15?
And if I do, will the v14 client connect to it?

I think that server and client have to be the same version - in fact think I've read they even need to be the same build. Since using WHS I've tried to update them all at the same time.

On that note I have bought 15, but have been holding off installing it until I get some confidence that it's fairly stable. Have been thinking of starting a new thread on that topic trying to get a feel for how stable it is, especially when used in a server/client configuration.

Thanks Rod, No i don't think this is the case.
Normally I'm updating clients much more frequently than the server. As a result, the server was always far behind in updates than the clients (all v14), without problems.
But now, with the new version 15, cannot connect to the v14 server...

Rod is correct about using the same version and build.  Anything else might work, but will often not.

MC15's server is generally stable.  The exceptions are in the DLNA area with different devices.  Library Server should not be a problem.

JimH thanks for the reply, though not clearing my queries.
Since I've already upgraded to 15, my question is:
Should I withdraw 14 from all pcs (server + clients) and continue with v15?
Thanks for clarifying. And as I said, v14 evrywhere, worked smoothly so far.

Switch completely to MC15 on clients and servers.

Or not.  But it won't work with mixed versions.
