Hi,
I have set in option "use an external player" i have choose VanBasco midi player so when i open a midi inside MC it launch VB and i can't hear my midi file.
But i can't seek from MC :(
In fact my goal 'll be to organize my midi libray due to the great capability of MC in tagging and to play them in MC.
In VanBasco i redirect the midi output to loop be it's a virtual midi cable and then my sampler have midi input on loopbe so i can hear my midi with good sound.
So the ability to choose the midi out directly in MC 'll be awesome so i 'll choose midi loopbe and my sampler 'll produce the sound but no need to open VanBasko.
So i request:
Choose midi output
Ability to seek play pause my midi file in MC
(An awesome feature woul be to mute solo every canal midi from MC but i think it's too much work for a simple feature:)

Anothr Bump.
I think this feature woul be valuable for maker of music with computer because there's not so much softs for managing midi files so i 'll can speak about MC on kvr.
So please MC team let me know if it's possible or not?

Why can't you play the midi file in MC? Will it not work?

Thank you Jim H for the answer.
So i can play Midi files on Mc without probleme if i choose the default midi output (microsoft gswavetable) But i want to use a sampler for to have a better sound.
So i set Van basko midi player who play midi and then the Vanbaskooutput to my sampler (with a virtual midi driver).
So i can seek in the midi file and even change the tempo but only with vanbasko.
I really want ability to choose the virtual midi driver in Mc and then i 'll can play pause & seek in Mc.
If you need more info say me i am not a natif english speaker...

When I double-clic a midi-file it opens in Windows Media Player. I can also play it in Quick-Time. But I can not open/play it in Media Center. (I hear no midi-sound when I try to play the notes/score I have written in the music composing program "Impro-visor", and I am very sorry for that.) Please help me to point midi-files to Media Center and be able to hear them in Media Center.

In options for File Types, you can tell MC to use WMP to play any file type. That should work.
