I just checked out to connect to my home server via internet remotely.
:D The good thing is via "Connect to library" it instantly worked!
:( The bad thing is that I could not find an option to let MC15 automatically convert to a lower quality in case of slow connections. This is possible for DLNA libraries but not for the library server.
Did I just not find the option or is it actually missing ?

Conversion settings are set on the client.

In Options > Library & Folders > Library Server Client

thanks, found it. But it doesn't work.
I chose "always convert" and 128 kb on the remote server.
Anyway, playback on client side is in full quality. I restarted both, MC15 on client and server but it did not help.

Try converting on the server to see if there is a problem there.

I ran a test conversion on the server. Indeed, there was a problem as the mp3 encoder was not downloaded yet. Anyway, it doesn't work.
The quality still remains original on my client (Again, I closed both MCs) and restarted them.

Also close Media Server if you're running it.

no change - deleted MC15 process on server with task manager. After restart still the same.

Any news on this? Did anybody else made the same experience?
Just my summary: when connecting remotely via "connect to library" the quality rate always remains in original quality. I set the options on the library server machine to always reduce the quality to 128. But with no effect.
