Title: Problem with movies in DLNA
Post by: icehouse10 on May 04, 2010, 06:36:09 pm
I have media center 14 (running version 14.0.161) and watch my dvds that were burned onto my hard drive.  When I watch them through Media Center 14 video section they run just fine.  Some of the movies that I watch through the DLNA option on my PS3 will play but have sections that are cut out.  An example is Avatar.  When I watch it on Media Center it has a run time of 2 hours and 42 minutes.  When I go through the PS3 Media Center DLNA server it shows up with a run time of 2 hours and 12 minutes.  The file type that it is reading is Video_ts.  Do you have any ideas why certain sections of the movie are cut out while running it on my PlayStation 3??  Thanks.

Could you try MC15?  A lot of work has been done on DLNA.

I upgraded up to Media Center 14 at the end of February for the DLNA option.  Unfortunately my trial version of 15 has expired and due to lack of funds I will have to wait sometime before thinking of upgrading to a newer version.  I guess I will have to get by with TVersity until then.
