Title: DCRAW updates

I see from older build update notes that there used to be updates to DCRAW quite often. Is DCRAW something that is developed outside of MC? If so, is there a newer version floating around somewhere? Adobe seems to update it's own RAW software quite often. Could there be some way to choose which engine is used to render raw files, similar to the way that we can choose directshow filters for videos.

Google "David Coffin dcraw".

A slightly modified version was (is?) used by MC to provide raw support.  (The mods simply package image info (dcraw -i stuff, I think) into a easy to read form.)  Unfortunately MC needs those mods.  Perhaps MC could be changed to to read the standard dcraw info ...
