Title: Don't display data files?
Post by: vine-au on May 12, 2010, 08:13:48 pm
In previous versions of MC there was the options to "Show files in sub-folders" and "Don't display data files". They were very useful for browsing through my bulk downloads of netlabel releases as it filtered out the pdf, nfo, txt, doc files etc.

I can't seem to find a way to hide data files with v15. Am I not looking hard enough?

When browsing in My Computer, the view header has these check-boxes:
"Show Files In Subfolders"
"Show Only Files In Library"

There is no longer an option for hiding data files.  We made this change a long time ago, and this is the first I've seen someone mention it.

If others feel strongly about it, we could figure out how to work it back in.

I upgraded from 13 to 15, it's a shame this feature is no longer available. Hopefully other people feel the same way.

You could do a search for "-pdf -nfo", and so on.
