Title: poor sound quality

I have the latest rev of MC and play my mp3/flac files through my home cinema speakers via my laptop, the sound quality is very poor.

The same files play with no problems on VLC and WMP, any ideas?

What are your settings under "Tools" - "Options" - "Audio"?

The sound quality I am getting is noticeably the better than what I have heard from any other player.

Please describe the equipment after the laptop.  Are you using a USB DAC?  There is a page of "DAC Settings" on our wiki.

What build of MC are you using?  15.0.44 is available at the top of this board.
