Title: Webplay and repeated password prompts
Post by: Osho on May 28, 2010, 04:27:55 pm
I tried webplay from a PC from work today. It connected to my home server quickly and it worked remarkably well!! Awesome.

I selected an album to play and it opened the playlist in the windows media player fine. The only issue I had was that I kept on getting password prompts again and again for each media file in an album. The password prompt has an option to remember the password. I checked that option but I still keep getting the prompt again and again for each track in the album.

I have the same issue with the Android browser (1.5 on Motorola Cliq).

Works fine on firefox.

I do not want to disable authentication or my media library would be unprotected.
Not so concerned for WebRemote, but for WebPlay.

Coming in build 52 and later (hopefully available later this week):
NEW: Library Server, WebPlay, and WebRemote use a token-based authorization system so that once a client is authorized, it won't have to authorize again on subsequent requests. (fixes issues using Gizmo with authorization enabled, etc.)
