Title: improvement for tweet to function for long track titles
Post by: stil_learning on May 29, 2010, 08:08:35 am
Hi all,

I would propose that if a tweet fails due to long track titles (which is quite common in classical music twits) that media center shows you a message that the track title is too long and brings up a popup that allows you to modify the tweet message, so you can make it shorter and then simply 'retry'.

example:

Listening to: 'Sentimi, Non Partir...al Mio Bene - Recitativo: Sentimi, Non Partir' from 'J.c. Bach La Dolce Fiamma - Forgotten Castrato Arias' by 'Philippe Jaroussky' with Media Center 15

I had to copy and paste it to twitter, edit it and make it shorter and update. I would have liked to submit a shorter title in the first place in media center!

comments welcome!

Another way to solve the problem more transparently would be to use Twitlonger: http://www.twitlonger.com/about
