Title: CUE files cause duplicates in Library - deleted Cue files but records stay....
Post by: broncodan on June 01, 2010, 06:20:24 pm
Hi,

I accidently loaded some CUE files into my library - I proceeded to delete the the CUE file but am unable to get rid of a bunch of duplicates in my library.  They point to the same directory and file as the original is.  I don't want all these "false" duplicates in my library - as I could be rating the incorrect one, etc - and I also noticed that if I play one - it plays the song in the library but when I select another song by that same artist - it will only play the one file...

Is there a way to identify the listings in the library that are from the CUE and really non-existent?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem. I split if necessary the music file and then delete this file and the cue file.

I was able to figure it out by sorting by duration.  Cue file "files" have no duration - except for one track associated with the file.  So I sorted by duration - highlighted the ones with no duration listed - then sorted by date imported and was able to locate the single track that had a duration listed - and proceeded to delete them all.  Kind of a pain - would be nice if CUE file entries were tagged/identified someway....
