Title: Ipod Classic firmware 2.0.4 - Problem with MC sync? (solved)
Post by: jack wallstreet on June 09, 2010, 10:31:17 pm
Bought a classic 160 gb new with 2.0.3 firmware.  Before I used it I updated to 2.0.4 firmware (all my other classics are 2.0.3 and work fine)

The new classic 2.0.4 seemed  to load music fine on MC15, but I didn't notice that the "initialize" command isnt' there.  Instead there is a database command.  At any rate I loaded up my songs and everything seemed to go fine - except that I can't access them.  MC15 says they are there, but no songs, no playlists on Ipod 2.0.4.  Could this be a problem with 2.0.4.  If so, does anyone know where I can get 2.0.3 (it is NOT on my computer as I changed computers recently).

Edits - resolved.  After using Itunes to restore and reedoing the "add a handheld" in MC 15 (which may have been the important thing), the Classic with the latest firmware 2.0.4 worked fine and was recognized as an Ipod.  I am not sure what went wrong initially.
