I use the DLNA server (set up with the settings for the Roku Soundbridge) to access audio files from Roku Soundbridges around our house, all on a hardwired ethernet network. I have notices the following issue in builds after circa 38 (including the current build 58):
I am able to traverse the menu tree to select audio files to play without any issue until I get to the final branch that lists audio files themselves (as distinct from other branches of the menu tree). Then, that list of files is very slow to display, taking 30-45 seconds for an album of music.
This issue definitely wasn't present in MC14, and I think it started cropping up in builds after 38.
Can I provide any more information to help you diagnose this problem?

audio fast but just upgraded to 58 at same time as doing other PC&network reconfigs. Thought it was my NAS but file browsing is fast so made me think it is MC. I came to the forum to find an older build to test. I haven't tried DNLA client yet but am having this problem using web remote.
May not be MC but seemed similar that I am seeing the same 45 second delay getting audio to play.

Update, my problem was a network issue. I moved my NAS to a different switch in a different room and was only getting 200KB transfer rates...yes the is KB not MB. Moved it back to where it was and now have instant play from web remote.

Are you converting the audio files?
Does it change the timing if you disable conversion or switch from WAV to MP3?
I'm wondering if it's spending the time calculating the exact length (after conversion) when providing information about the files.
Thanks.

I had it set to "convert unsupported formats" but when I changed the setting to "never convert" the delay went away and both my WMA and my MP3 files play fine.
Does that answer your question?
