Title: Computer won't hibernate when MC is playing music
Post by: Mr ChriZ on June 20, 2010, 07:22:47 am
Does anyone else have problems with their machine not deep sleep/hibernating when MC is playing music?
Mine seems to just put the machine into a light sleep.

None of the removal drives power down, and the computer continues to draw full power.  However the monitor turns off and the computer stops playing music.

If I move the mouse the computer comes back to life immediatley.
MC is not full screen during this problem.

If I stop MC playing music then the machine will go into a full deep sleep down when I next press hibernate.

During playback, we try to prevent sleep.  This is so the computer doesn't automatically go to sleep while you're in the middle of a song.

I would have thought a manual sleep would still occur, so let us test on our end.

In build 15.0.65 and later:
Changed: Playback prevents automatic system sleep, but does not disable a full manual sleep (S3).
Changed: Putting the system to sleep manually will stop any playback.

Please let us know how it works for you once it's available.
