Title: DLNA folder issue
Post by: Dare978Devil on June 22, 2010, 07:59:44 am
How can I maintain my current folder structure on my PC hard drive when streaming to a PS3 using DLNA?  It is working, but when I open the "Media Server" on the PS3, I get a complete list of video files by title, genre, and a few other sort options.  However, I would like the PS3 to present the files to me in the folders as they appear on my hard drive.

Is there an option for this?

Thanks,
DD.

You can fully customize how you browse in Options > Media Network > DLNA Server > Customize views...

In this case, it sounds like you want to add a 'Library Item' under 'Video'.  Then add a 'Category' with the 'Type' set to 'File path'.  Fill in the base path if you want the view to start at a certain folder.

Thanks, I can see that changed it.  I'll play around with it until I get it the way I like it.
