Title: Turning transparency off
Post by: Dakota on June 22, 2010, 06:32:50 pm
Transparent menus are really hard on my eyes, so I disabled the pop up transparency mode but nothing changes.  I flipped though some of the different skins and no effect.  Any thoughts?

Sorry, but it's not configurable.

The effect should be subtle.  Is it possible the brightness or contrast are too high on your monitor, making the effect overly exaggerated?

Just an observation... This could be an issue for people who have sight problems and need to use "high contrast" accessibility modes.  The transparency also doesn't work right on older Windows XP systems in many cases (I have a system with Matrox graphics where the transparency gets REALLY ugly and unreadable in certain circumstances).  It would be nice to be able to turn it off in those circumstances.
