Hello,
In trying to install 15 last night, I repeatedly got this error message during later stage of install process--"JL Tools.dll" or "JR Tools.dll" failed to install. 15 icon would show on desktop, but clicking it would just bring up that error message again.
PC is a purpose-built, stand-alone, music server only W7 64-bit, 64GB SSD for programs, 4GB RAM, video/visuals set for best performance, no anti-virus/firewall.
Thanks!

If you do a search for "jrtools.dll failed" on this forum you will get a couple of hits from people who had the same issue. I solved the issue by un-installing MC 14. I do always use the IObit Uninstaller and do a deep clean. This will remove any errant registry entries.
Hope that helps.

Are you using the build from our download page?

Yes, right from here--

This isn't a common problem, so I would try an uninstall, reboot, and reinstall.
Disable any program that could interfere with other programs like a virus checker or other security program.
Thanks.

I have been getting the JRTools.dll error for several weeks and cannot figure out what to do. I am not very computer savvy and decided to Microsoft last night. They told me my computer was going to crash and wanted $170.00 to fix it. How can I get rid of this problem? I'm getting frustrated!

What build of MC are you using? The complete version number from Help/About.
Did you try Matt's suggestions?
