Title: help! can't decode rm format w/ media editor!
Post by: rmsbrokers on June 23, 2002, 11:15:17 am
Is it true .rm is not a supported format for MJ? If so how do I go around this dilemma to convert this file into one that is supported by MJ?

MJ can play rm if you have the RealMedia component installed (install one of the real player, and just be careful during install to disable all the intrusive options that they enabled by default)

But that format can not be edited in the Media Editor.

I'm not sure if it is possible to convert it directly (try using Tool->Convert). If that does not work, than you can always enable the disk writer in the playback options. That will generate a wave file, and you can then encode it as you like and/or edit in Media Editor
