Title: push from MC15 to PS3 ?
Post by: bwa on June 29, 2010, 04:49:33 am
Not shure what I should call the topic ... ::)

Currently MC15 is streaming audio to my PS3 Slim. But to control which track to play, I need to use PS3 remote ..

Is there a way to use MC15 to control which tracks to play ? I don't want to have my TV set on to change track, the PC with MC15 is a better choice.

The PS3 doesn't expose the ability to control it.

Media Center supports the DLNA standard to control any "DLNA Renderer", so it's just a matter of Sony supporting the standard.

Ok, so if I had a DLNA Renderer MC could push music or video to that device ?

Yes.

Some examples of devices that work:
Streamiums, WDTVLive, the JRiver ID (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=55888.0), another copy of Media Center, etc.

Yes.  The wiki might be helpful:
