Title: Media Center 15.0.70 crashes with WebPlay
Post by: giamma on July 03, 2010, 12:46:40 pm

I was able to use WebPlay on my android phone (via the app gizmo).
This is awesome thank you so much.

But when I try to browse my library (via the Artists or the Albumn links), MC15 crashes consistently.
I do have a large library (50K songs, 5K artists).

Note that I can make it crash consistently.
if I just select a small playlist, everything works fine.
BTW I was also able to reproduce this if I connect to WebPlay via a browser on another computer.

Let me know if I can collect any information for you guys to debug

Try customizing the WebPlay views in Options > Media Network.

Add groupings by letter to any list that is very long (>1000), so it shows A, B, C, etc. so no list is as long.

We would like to make this happen automatically for huge libraries at some point in the future.

Coming in build 15.0.71 (and later):
NEW: WebPlay and WebRemote paginate long lists into multiple pages. (see included templates or http://wiki.jrmediacenter.com/index.php/WebEngine_SDK for more information)

Matt, I'm getting a crash of MC, or Safari just exits when I try to play files now on LAN.

I just tried at work and while I can connect to WebPlay, nothing loads past main choices, and MC was crashed when I got home from lunch.

Do you mean if I add an existing library view via Network Options, to make sure that view using the letter option? I don't see how to add that from within Network Options through rules etc.
I see how to do that now.

FLAC and APE are now broken again too.

Shuffle or Play does not work with images; you can only drill down to a single Image and view it.

Still getting crashes too, with all views set to use Grouping.
