Title: Registration codes and email account change
Post by: Niebla on July 12, 2010, 03:59:44 am
I am a MC customer since MC9... I used to have a @telefonica.net email account.

According to the email, I had licence since MC9:

JRiver, Inc. Media Center 9:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 10:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 11:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 12:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 13:

I used the "Resotre Page" to migrate that account into my @gmail.com account. Now, the email shows different versions:

JRiver, Inc. Media Center 10:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 11:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 14:
JRiver, Inc. Media Center 15:

Why MC9, MC12 and MC13 registration codes does not appear anymore in my account?

It seems @telefonica.net account is not completely migrated into @gmail.com account.

What happened?

Possibly your MC9, MC12 and MC13 licenses don't have a password or have more or less different passwords than your MC10 and MC11 licences.

The system allows to change the email address only if the specified password is correct. I noticed this I when tried to move my old licences (since MJ8) under a new email address. My MC13 licence wasn't moved because it doesn't have a stored password or the password is different and I have lost it.

Probably someone from JRiver can help you.

(to: JRiver -- regarding my case, would it be possible to you to add a password to my MC13 licence so that I could change the email address in the future? I can send the details privately. I don't really use MC13 anymore, but the old versions have often been useful in solving problems. Most recently MC13 was useful when I helped in debugging the FLAC date problem.)

Yes. It make sense.

I didn't know different passwords could be set for each license...

Can I retrive or reset the password of my MC9, MC12 and MC13 licenses?

If not, please associate that licenses with my new email address @gmail.com

(I guess MC staff can see the email associated with "Niebla" user...)

Niebla,
Yours are changed.

Alex,
I don't have a way to do this easily.  Thanks for reporting it.

I checked your MC13 license, and it seems to use the same e-mail as the others.

Let me know when you need an MC13 license next.

Jim

Thanks Jim,

I decided to move all licenses under the old email address (it is still working) so I don't have an acute problem. However, I might want to change it in the future. I'll let you know if I need help.

Hello

I am a JR user since MC13. I would like to upgrade my MC15 to MC16. The problem is that my e-mail adress has changed since I first bought MC (the one I used to buy MC13 is closed by now). I went to the restore page to change my e-mail address like it is explained but of course I completely forgot that password I used years ago.

Well now I would like, if possible to transfer all my MC licences to my new gmail address and with one same password.
Is it possible to do so before the upgrade price date expires?

Thanks for help.
Skander from France.

I've changed your e-mail for MC13 and MC14.  Thanks for thinking about purchasing.

Thanks a lot Jim.
But I need to transfer MC15 registration code to my new gmail address also in order to have MC16 licence registered to the same mail automatically.

It's done now.  It was under a different name.
