Title: Is theatre view affected by my hardware

Media Centre 15 works perfectly, apart from Theatre View, it is very slow, and there can be initial interruptions during playback.  I think this is due to my hardware. I have an 8
Year old Dell Laptop, with a Max of 2G Ram.  The Graphics are now well out of date, I plan to upgrade soon, and would like to know if JRiver has a min requirement for hardware, any advice would be useful.

Theater View has a couple of options for frame rate and drawing quality.  Did you try changing them?

You could also try updating DirectX from Microsoft.

I had the image quality set low, I've reduced the frame rate
And it's now working perfectly. Thanks for the speedy response.
