Title: Are play counts in stacks files counted towards the original file?

I have a large lossless library (45k files) that I made a conversion cache for syncing to my ipods and other devices. After playing numerous files and syncing back to MC I noticed that the stack file(converted) has a play count but the original (Lossless) still says never played. Is there a way to sync the play counts to the original file? I would like to make smartlists that would take into account the files played on my devices and that are played throughout my house.

I don't think it does this now, but I agree it would be nice.
