Title: Cannot browse CDROM from Windows Explorer after Media Center install
Post by: ruskiru on August 03, 2010, 12:22:25 pm
After installing the latest release of Media Center, I cannot browse the DVDROM drive from Windows Explorer. I get the following error: Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item. Discs do however play inside Media Center or Windows Media Player without a problem.

Please try a reboot.

I don't think Media Center does anything that could change Explorer.

Looking into this further, it only happens with certain CDs once they've been mastered for use as an audio CD. Probably this is a Windows 7 bug and not related to Media Center.
