Title: How do we insert an image in our forum post? ADDENDUM: Missing Additional Option

How do we insert an image in our forum post?

Whenever I click on the "Insert Image" icon all it seems to do is place the following in the body of my message:
[  img  ]  [  /img  ]

Nothing else is appearing that enables me to browse to an image and attach it.
Where or what is the next step?

Or host the image somewhere and...

For instance,

If you don't already have access to a web server you can use a service like Imageshack (http://imageshack.us/) or Photobucket (http://photobucket.com).

Thank you MrC, but my Additional Options is lacking the Attach option.
The only Additional Options available to me are:

Something about earning your wings is coming to mind.

(I am not a moderator, but I guess the forum software may be programmed to not expose all features to new users. In addition, a certain amount of posts may be required.)

My suggestion should work in any case.

Thank you AlexB, will have to use your workaround until something or someone allows me to post images.

Have been a forum member since July 24, 2010 with 17 posts.
Am presuming that sufficient time has passed.

Any chance a moderator could enable the forum software to let me attach images from my hard drive, instead of my having to archive and retrieve the image from some remote web site?
