Title: What Version LAME Encoder?

What version of LAME encoder is it that Media Jukebox uses? Always like to make sure I am using the most up to date stuff, no matter how minor the difference it makes. Is the version used in MJ any different to that used in Media Centre? If I want to make sure I am using the most up to date encoder is it possible to download it from http://lame.sourceforge.net/index.php and use as an external encoder, if so how do I do it?
