I've got a 6 core processor and I want to split the rip and encode processes. I go into Options->CD/DVD/Expert options I clear the checkmark for "Encode concurrently while ripping" and save it. However, it won't stay UN-checked. So It will allow me ot uncheck it and get tot he subsequent options. But after saving/closing/re-opening the menu the check mark is back.

You could rip to WAV and encode later, I suppose, but leaving that option checked will take maximum advantage of your CPU.

Thanks but I only rip to lossless APE. Is there a bug in keeping the option un-checked?

I can't repro this here. Just to narrow down the problem, try changing the encoder (e.g. mp3 or wma) and see if you have the same problem.
-
Same thing no matter which encoder I switched to. Still can't permanently clear the check box. It will clear when you're on the screen, it just won't save the change.
-
I'm stumped. Can you change other settings on that page and it saves them?
-
I logged in as a different user and it let me make the change and it took. Logged back in as the original user and now I'm able to change it from that account as well. (Both user accounts are admins). Go figure.

Glad it's working now, but I wish I knew why. :-\

Ditto!
