Title: Trouble converting m4a to mp3

I have MC 15.0.80 and my m4a files play fine but when I try to convert to mp3 I get a message that file failed to convert with suggestion to make sure files exist and are of a supported format.  What am I doing wrong?

Installing the DC-Bass Source filter and configuring MC to use it would probably help:
