My MediaJukebox key is labelled MediaJukebox6.rrg. Can I use it with MJ 8 to unlock the plus version and what is the cost for the renewal of that key (or an upgrade to the new key) ?

This should be covered in the FAQ.

A 6.0 license works with 7.0 but not 8.0.  There is no upgrade price.
