Hi,
it seems that the command line MC15.exe is installed on the C: drive only (and maybe only by the non portable install).
So, how can I control with MC15.exe a portable MC15 instance running on a computer on which I never installed MC (so there's no MC15.exe on its drive c:)?
Or is there an alternative to using MC15.exe?
Thanks.

Bump--is there a way to have a launcher exe for command line use in portable installs? I'm trying to make a batch file that launches and kicks off an auto import using /MCC 23020.
Thanks!

Bump.

As an update, I resolved my own question.
I installed MC normally, copied MC15.exe to the portable install's program folder, and uninstalled the regular version. As long as MC15.exe was in the portable install folder, automation worked fine for launching. And MC15.exe always worked when MC was already running.
Just an update for anyone else trying this.

Dave,
did you check if the MC uninstall really removed MC15.exe from the windows system folder (e.g. c:\windows\system32\MC15.exe on my Vista)

Yes, MC15.exe was successfully removed from the system32 directory (I'm on XP).
