Title: How to get device sync to replace tracks deleted from device?
Post by: chrisjj on September 08, 2010, 09:00:24 am
How can I get the device sync to automatically replace any tracks deleted from the device? Currently if I delete some tracks from my drive-letter device and resync, sync fails to notice - I get "The device 'My Device' is fully synchronized." and sync does not sent the missing files.

My best workaround is rather severe - delete all tracks from MJ's view of the device.

Thanks.

Did you try right-clicking in the action window and selecting "Recheck sync"?

No. I had never used that window on this device, and had forgotten it existied! I'll try. Thanks!

Devs, perhaps this command ought to be on the device context menu, as are its window-mates Sync Now and Options...?

also go into the options for the device.
check the box for "delet from handheld any files not in sync list"
and check "resync if date modified has changed"

Thanks - I have both already.
