Title: Common Repository for Skins
Post by: jroyale on September 10, 2010, 03:34:31 pm
It strikes me as odd unless I'm missing something, that there is no common area where all the skins are provided for so I don't have to run through this how forum looking for theatre skins.

Can anybody provide a few links to some really nice looking skings?

I download xbmc recently and it looks gorgeous...jrmc has gotten better but theatreview really lacks that certain slickness.  Looking for a skin to help matters out.

? Both method on how to currently find skins for MC are actually buried methods. For most of us who've been in the forum for a while may find ways to find out about where the skins are but as JRiver is trying to grab new customers, they need to put a simple link on top of the site for skins. Bury the skins are also undermining the effort the skinners are doing, as their work will be less and less noticed.

i agree there is some space on the first support screen to give some links to some places some people might want to go to. like skins. plug ins. the old dev zone. things like that.

but i guess for skin the most obvious route is still there and working. view>skins>skin manager>download more skins

Not 100% becuase it's been a while but I thought when you download you extract it or it is a folder.  You simply place that folder in the skins folder of jrmc under theater, mini or standard.  Whichever it applies to.

When MC is installed and you download a skin from the accessories site, the .mjp file extension should trigger the MC accessory installer.
