Title: 'date imported' group by sort error
Post by: rossp on September 11, 2010, 02:51:30 am
Hi all,

I have setuip a new view under Video to show films sorted by the 'date imported' library field.
This is a cheap mans new films list.

However it seems to sort by the day - month - year - time

so

02/09/2010     18:51    Salt
10/09/2010     18:53    I Spit on your grave
10/09/2010     18:53    The expendables
10/09/2010     16:12    Crossroads
10/09/2010     18:20    Trainspotting
11/06/2010     08:03    The assasination of Jesse James
11/09/2010     08:12    Striptease
11/09/2010     08:12    Top Gun

etc

This can't be right can it. Is this a localisation issue?

in both filelist and categories/panes you can choose sort by (in the header) i guess it is set there to 'default'. choose date imported there... that works for me.

Thanks Gappie, your correct.

Can you try 'group by date imported'. This is where I see the issue.

The "Group By > More (sort groups a to z)" groupings always use simple string-style sorting of the display text.

We would like to expose a way to make custom groupings where you could specify the sorting, text, etc. with more control, although I can't say when we will get to it.

Thanks.
