Title: only input, visualization and DSP plugins can be added!?

i have a registered version of mj7.2 and i was installing new encoders (specifically monkey audio) and i get this "only input, visualization and DSP plugins can be added" message. i tried it with wma and same thing. i tried it from download site and from inside plug-in manager.

what gives?

Please upgrade to Media Jukebox 8.0 -- it includes the latest APE encoder and decoder.

Matt is The Monkey in Monkey's Audio.

Also, a 7.x license (but not a 6.x license) will work with version 8.0.  You will get the full feature set of 8.0.  More info in our FAQ above.

thanks guys, but i have a 6 license and i just installed 8, but it will expire. didn't 6&7 go forever if you didn't get the upgraded goodies that came with the registration?

now i'm really screwed too because i can't encode anything. i uninstalled all the encoders and i get the same message for any encoder i try to install.

what can i do?!

I'm not familiar with MJ6, but can you use a plugin for an external encoder and then have it use an external (*.exe) APE encoder?
