Title: Output directory for TV Recording in a Network Drive. Is it possible?
Post by: Mars on September 13, 2010, 08:44:27 am
I am having some issues when trying to set this. Is It possible, or can only be done through a local drive?

Could you try mapping the network path as a drive and see if that works?

That will tell us if it's the UNC naming or something about the network itself.

Thanks.

Thanks, Matt

So, you mean that it is possible to set a network output?

Tonight I will try to map all the path as suggested. The tests where done through a directory in a mapped drive: T:\Recordings , where T:\ is a shared directory in a NAS.

I record television to M:\TV which is a mapped network drive.  It works fine.

I've never tested UNC output personally.

Let us know what you learn and we'll go from there.

Thanks.

I record to UNC just fine (eg \\SERVER\Folder\FileName.ext)

After a bit more testing and trying different mappings, it finally worked.

Thanks for your support. ;)
