Hi guys,
I'm a returning customer (sick of iTunes lag of flexibility), and am having a slight issue with the presentation of albums.
As you can see from the attached screenshot, certain tracks from the same album are being separated, as if they were part of a different album. There is no reason this should be the case (same file location and tags). The problem seems to be carried over when the library is imported (via iTunes) to my iPod. Any idea why this is happening, and how to resolve?

Many thanks!

MC thinks songs belong to the same album if they have the same album title and
album artist.
Add Album Artist column to the pane and check

Aha! Problem fixed!
Thank you Vincent!
I've never really understood the use for Album Artist and Artist? I use Various Artists for compilation albums, and embed the track artist in the track title.
Thanks again!

That is indeed how to use the Artist (often called Contributing Artist)
Album Artist=Various (for each track in the album)
Artist= xxxx where xxx varies per track

Gotcha. Thanks.

The second link in my "Notable Threads" thread might help:

MC has also a clever automatic album artist system that can work even if the Album Artist field is empty. See the above link.
