Title: Help Please - MJ8 Database Viewer/Editor?
Post by: PeterE on June 18, 2002, 11:01:59 pm
I am trying to move several thousand album art images to a new hard disk and therefore edit the image location in MJ8
I have tried viewing the mediafiles.jmd in HEX and straight( in order to search and replace) but cannot locate the path for the image files (they appear to point to the wrong directories or for tracks where I know there is an image I cannot find the image path in the file)

Does anyone have any utilities to view and edit the "fields" in the mediafiles.jmd?
if its of use the file is about 5Mgb with circa 20,000 items

I asked a few weeks ago for a way to change the path of the cover art directories. I don't want to let it into MJ directory and I would like to be able to move my libraries on another disk (with a different letter). I can do it very easily for the media files but that seems impossible for the cover art path as that seems very difficult to edit the jmd file without to corrupt it.

We'll add image location to the File Properties -> Find / Replace tool for today's build.

Hopefully that'll do the trick...
