Recently I've received from a friend some files with extension .f4v.
It's said that are Adobe video files with better resolution.
How can I play this in MC 15?
-
Nobody from Media Center have knowledge about this format and how to manage it?
-
It looks like a version of Flash file.

Can you play it with the Flash player?
-
Please send a sample file and a link to this thread to yaobing at jriver. If we can find a working decoder, we'll add the file type to our list of formats.
Thanks.

In most cases, F4V files are just MP4 files, and Haali can split them.
-
I just rename it to flv and then it plays fine.
This brings me to another question - how do I add a file extension to MC? MC just has to list f4v.

There is no way except hacking FileAssociations.xml file.
I will add it.
