it locks the playlist.. that means you can not add or remove items, nor change the order of the files.

Thanks, Wish it had the ability to prevent accidental song deletion. Would be nice if you got a warning before deleting a song that's in a playlist.

i just tried to delete a song from a locked playlist.. but i could not, only by deleting it from other places in my library (and then i get a warning im deleting a file). how do you delete a file from a locked playlist?

Just delete it from the library. Locking the playlist won't stop the deletion.
