In the U.S., Android is now on 32% of the smart phones sold this year. Apple is on 25%.

Would this be a good time to beg for more Gizmo features again? Scrobbling would be a big addition, perhaps utilizing the Scrobble Droid API? (http://code.google.com/p/scrobbledroid/wiki/DeveloperAPI)

Maybe the server could just do the scrobbling? That keeps the processing in the cloud (that's running in my basement!).

That would be excellent. A checkbox in the Web Play settings, perhaps?
Out of curiosity, does MC currently do any logging of Web Play activity?

Hi JimH
Why do you mention statistics of US only? Is JRiver Media Center sold in US only? ;)
I am from EU and I am a proud owner of JRiver Media Center v12, v14, v15.
As smartphones are taking over mp3 players I guess your concern is which kind of smartphones (OS) to support fully. Android is your primarily choice here and you try to support your choice mentioning US market share (which are contrasting with World market share, though)
Can you elaborate a bit of how you see the future of MC support for non-Android phones (my primary concern is about Symbian/Meego and Windows Phone)?
Thanks for the good work...
M.
