That is one ugly piece of remote imo. I'd rather stick to my Gyration, Logitech diNovo Mini or Logitech 900 to be honest :) The last two of this is not very cheap though...

i use the 900 and wireless keyboard now. i cant stand em.. with a large  library ya need a keyboard. otherwise your stuck in a's for months.
was just pointing out new options are popping up and will now that google tv is coming out.   my ultimate goal is a win tablet as long as they have more power then the netbooks, and can load the large libraries. that would be the ultimate remote for me.

Yeah.... Wow.  If Sony expects this product to be a success with the average consumer, they're setting themselves up for a rude awakening.

I'm waiting for the same thing. A good Win 7 tablet. Or XP if it don't have enough juice. The problem now is to get something good with multi touch. It's starting to come quite a few closer to  Christmas though. I'm really looking forward to using the Tremote with my HTPC.

As for Keyboard, I do agree that you need it sometimes. I'm doing fine for now with the 900 and diNivo combo. And sometimes I can do just fine with the numpad SMS like function to jump to other letters. I just wish that J River could allow for more than the first letter some day, so you can search for words, and not just at the start of the string. A small on screen display/popup of what you have been writing would be great for this kind of thing.

Well, Google TV looks promising, with "Apps" and all..
