I have made many CDs using MJ 8.293 on this computer. However, now when I click Burn CD, MJ crashes. It's on an XP box, so I can't tell what module the error is occurring in.
I have re-installed MJ, same error.
Settings->Options->CD writer detects my DVD/CD-RW just fine. Generic is checked and greyed out.

Can anyone help me debug this?

Please see our FAQ on CD burning and try updating ASPI.

Thanks, JimH - I will.
Oh, weird. I just noticed that there was nothing in my Now Playing queue. When I add something to my Now Playing queue and then click 'Burn CD', no crash.
Also, the crash occurs before the "Audio or Data?" dialog appears.

I can't reproduce this problem here. Anyone else?
Here are the steps I took:
- start MJ
- click on "Playing Now" (it's empty)
- click on the CD burner icon
It asked "audio or data?" and continued normally.
Does this specific sequence cause a crash on your system?

Yes, try this:
Open MJ
Clear Now Playing
Set to Mini-me (I run lower-right, not sure of the version).
Close MJ with the little X
---
Open MJ (opens in mini-me, lower-right)
Click the little maximize/up arrow in lower-right's top-right.
click Burn CD
Crashes every time for me. If MJ opens into normal-big-me state, clicking Burn CD doesn't crash it. If it opens to mini-me and gets maximized, it crashes. I also have a (registered) Slide Show running too, although it isn't actually displayed/visible.

Thanks. That mini-me thing was the ticket.
It'll be fixed shortly.
Thanks again.
