In 15.0.118 you made that change :
1. Changed: Double-clicking a single list file in a grouped list will play the grouping instead of the entire list / entire library (starting at the double-clicked file).
My main view is grouped by album, so now, no matter what I search when I double click on a file it plays the group instead of the whole search result, as it has been suggested, it would be more logical if this feature would be triggered by clicking the group header. Or maybe you could let the user choose ?
-
You can play all by selecting what you want to play (i.e. Ctrl+A) and choosing a right-click play command.
-
Yes, but before the action was simple, now it takes much longer to the same thing as before.
Please think about giving the choice of the double click.
-
Did you know you could do a search and then click the big play button at the top to play all? Perhaps that would be even easier than double-clicking a single file?
We're not opposed to an option, but we need help understanding the justification. What type of search are you doing, and why do you want all the files that match?
Thanks.

I often search for an artist or a genre.
I also think that it's be more logical that this feature would be triggered by double-clicking on the group header.
What about an option like this :
Play group by :
- double clicking a file in this group
- double clicking the group header
- don't play group
Maybe you could ignore the last option.
-
was the option finally added? i can't find it anywhere...
it's really anoying to have your artist pasge full of songs, and when you choose a song to start playing them all, only the group will start (in my case i have them sorted like that) even worse, when you do ctrl+a, left click and play, and the want to play a specific song, you will loose your playlist for the group of that song.
-
Just select what you want before double clicking. CTRL-A will select all.
We will probably change this a little.
-
i know that, but i think it was better before the change, where you could have a group organized playlist, and it didn't matter if you clicked other song, it would continue playing the songs on that view, it was easier, faster, and cleaner, and as D-Malck says, it really annoys while searching songs

IS THIS ISSUE EVER GOING TO BE TAKEN CARE OF? IT IS EXTREMLY ANNOYING, I FIND MYSELF USING OLDER VERSIONS IN ORDER TO REMOVE THIS "FUNCTIONALITY"...
-
It's not a bug. It's a feature change. Select what you want to play first, then play.
