Title: Hurray! JR MC on Ubuntu with wine

It's one o'clock in the morning ... there have been several even longer nights ... but now its working:

JR MediaServer running on Ubuntu Desktop 10.10 with wine 1.3.5 and it's successfully streaming to my Sony Bravia ... Audio and Images ... Video dont? well ...

Only wanted you all to know ... but now to sleep ...

After another several long nights with headaches ... HD Videos are now streamed nice - had to compile mencoder with multithreaded ffmpeg by myself ... but now it streams nicely ...

I wish you could put this in a bottle.  MC is the only reason I have Windows in the house.  I tried a few times to get it running under wine but it crashes right away and I don't possess the Linux skills to troubleshoot this.

Well - the other features like Theater View etc. I'am not using ... have tried this several years ago (I think it was with MC 11) - but it crashed ...
