Title: Whay can't I turn off the Generic Driver?
Post by: Richmor on June 17, 2002, 07:11:03 pm
I have a CyberDrive CW038D drive which is technically supported by MJ. I have installed the latest version of ASPI from Adaptec and I am using Windows XP with 8.0.293. I have tried removing the System32 .dll files and reinstalling them, and I have also experimented replacing some of these files with files that are avilible from Nero's ftp server. I have also tried installing goldenhawk's ASPI layer, but to no avail.

Does anyone have any other ideas? I am a advanced user and I have come to my wits end. This is the only thing that is stopping me from purchasing the full product.

Thanks, -Richard

We're on this. We have to incorporate the latest Goldenhawk component in our burning control (the latest version is 3.9A, we currently are at 3.8G). Hopefully in a short period of time you can do a "check for updates" in MJ and get your drive supported. Thanks for reporting it.
