Title: Bit perfect ?
Post by: 3rik on November 10, 2010, 03:33:05 am
Hi,

I just wonder it MC can play bit perfect ? I play FLAC files (16bit, 44.1KHz) with ASIO.

If MC can, how to set it up please ?

Thanks for your help !

Tools > Options > Audio > Output mode: [select ASIO]  :)

MC is always "bit perfect", assuming no internal DSP is in use.

The Windows mixer, which comes after MC's output, is never bit perfect (it is a mixer and can't be bit perfect if works at all).

The ASIO, Kernel Streaming and WASAPI (exclusive) output modes will bypass the Windows mixer and assuming the device drivers don't do any processing the output will be preserved as it is.

Thanks !

So no need to check "Ouput Format" in DSP Studio and set "no resampling" and "source bitdepth" ?

don't select anything in the DSP Studio to keep it bit perfect  ;)
