Title: Room correction - speaker distance
Post by: European on November 16, 2010, 07:07:44 am
I've installed the MC today and wanted to try room correction, but it asked me for my feet. My shoesize is 42. What to do next? Do I have to measure my feet to get meters?

Welcome to the forum.

A meter is about 3.3 feet.

You could use google to say "2.5 meters in feet", for example.

Ok, you took that seriously... so no other users except me use the metric system then, I presume.

I was trying to be respectful.  42 must be a huge foot.

If so, I'm turning "a huge foot next" week.

An introduction to the art of measuring shoes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_size

In the next Windows version the user's shoe size data becomes a mandatory part of personal details and all programs will be required to be able to handle the shoe size data and present it using the correct local unit. Fortunately for the programmers, the unit info will be available amongst the other locale info in a standardized format.

 ;)

Seriously, could MC check the set unit from the Windows locale settings and display it correctly? Foot is a strange unit for many users.
