I'm using a service called Tonido and they do not recognize the 0-5 star ratings embedded in MP3's by MC. They asked where they were being stored and I told them it was in the ID3V2 data. They claim there is no such parameter in ID3V2 and that they only support standard tags. If true, where is the data being stored? Is it specific to MC?

Definitely in the file itself. As I can see my ratings within a program like Tag N'Rename...without having MC in the picture at all. Tonido sounds like it doesn't look in the right place.

Rating is stored inside the MP3 file, in the ID3v2 frame POPM.
